ANGOC is making the most of its partnerships
and alliances. It is involved in a number of global, regional and national
networks and coalitions in the program areas of the institution: food
security, agrarian reform, sustainable agriculture and people's

ANGOC once acted as the Asian Secretariat of
the Sustainable Agriculture Networking and Extension (SANE), a UNDP-initiated
program aimed at enhancing capacity building and human resource development
in the area of sustainable agriculture.
In the region, the program was participated in by some 17 national and
regional NGO networks and institutions. Among the activities were
information networking, training, farmer-to-farmer exchange and policy
advocacy. Network on Capacity Building
ANGOC was elected as a member of the
International Steering Committee of the International Forum on Capacity
Building (IFCB) for Southern NGOs at the international conference held 6-8
May 1998 in Brussels, Belgium.
IFCB promotes a multi-stakeholder forum which Southern NGOs engage Northern
NGOs and donors in shaping concepts, policies and practices for Capacity
Building. Phase 2 of the IFCB is still being developed.
