ANGOC Resource Book 2:

Agrarian Reform in Asia

ANGOC is publishing this resource book on agrarian reform to emphasize the continuing urgency of agrarian reform in our societies, and hopefully to broaden support for it among many other sectors. This resource book contains a situationer on agrarian reform implementation in nine Asian countries, including current land ownership patterns, history of agrarian reform efforts, and issues in agrarian reform implementation, along with case studies on agrarian reform. It is meant to be continually update; hence, ANGOC would appreciate receiving more data from readers.

Promoting Participation in Development Projects: IFAD's experience in promoting participatory approaches in development projects in Asia

This publication is a review of a two year
project commissioned by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and undertaken by the Centre on Integrated Rural Development for
Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP) and the Asian
NGO Coalition for Agrarian Reform and Rural
Development (ANGOC) to evaluate the participatory
approaches and tools that had been used by IFAD in its projects in Asia during the 1990s.

Sustainable Agriculture in Asia

This Resource Book is composed of three series:

  • Book 1 is an overview of the different community initiatives on SA in eight countries in Asia. It also provides a country-by-country assessment of the sustainability of current agricultural practices

  • Book 2 is a directory of 151 organizations in 13 countries which have ongoing programs in SA. It is intended to be an evolving document. In this initials publication, the list is limited to NGOs and people's organizations (POs).

  • Book 3 is a manual on field documentation of SA initiatives. It is presented as a guide to NGOs in documenting and, whenever possible, quantifying their experiences. This manual outlines the topics to focus on with the corresponding documentation tool.

Strategic Networking: Asian Experience

This book is a collection of some leading case experiences of strategic networking in Asia, as seen through the eyes of their leaders. As these cases were first presented and discussed at a Regional Workshop held in Bangkok in November 1990, many situation have changed and intervening events have unfolded since then. However, ANGOC believes that these cases continue to impart many valuable lessons and insights for field practitioners and advocates, as well as for future students of social change.
