QUALIFICATIONS

To be eligible for participation in the Course, the participant must:

  • be a citizen of the nominating country;
  • be officially endorsed via diplomatic channels by the Government of the invited country;
  • be highly proficient in spoken and written English;
  • be a member of a local non-government organization (NGO), community-based organization (CBO) or Government Office that:
  1. must have defined focus on sustainable agriculture issues as poverty eradication strategy;
  2. is preferably involved in sustainable agriculture advocacy and community work;
  3. must have established network among other NGOs/CBOs focusing on SA issues; and
  4. must have community-based constituency on SA initiatives;
  • have at least a Bachelor?s Degree or its equivalent and be directly involved in sustainable agriculture-related initiatives of his/her organization;
  • be willing and able to share the knowledge and experience that will be acquired in the Training Program;
  • have a target group of local partners (NGOs/CBOs) to whom he/she can echo or share learning by conducting local seminars or trainings;
  • be willing to work with various stakeholders (NGOs, CBOs and Local Government Units or LGUs);
  • not be in active military service;
  • be between 30 to 45 years of age at the time of application;
  • be in good health; and
  • be of good moral character.
